Thornhill's Massage Therapists
Ken Morris, BA, RMT
Ken's interest as an R.M.T. started after taking spin classes years ago. He discovered his performance improved remarkably when he focused on his breath. Intrigued by the benefits of this experience, he began taking regular Yoga classes to work on his own posture and to learn more about the healing benefits of breath, meditation and proper body mechanics.
Soon after, he enrolled in the R.M.T. program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and obtained his Registered Massage Therapy certificate. He is also a certified yoga instructor and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, specializing in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Waterloo.
Ken is very passionate about his career and strives to provide quality care customized to each individual’s needs whether it is to maintain general well-being or address a condition or injury. His specialties include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, sports injury treatment, hot stone massage and relaxation. He also received additional training in prenatal massage. He has provided massage therapy to clients of all ages at sporting events, treatment settings and hospitals including Sick-Kids and Sunny Brook Health Sciences Centre.
Ken strongly believes in educating his clients, encouraging self-care and taking an active role in their own recovery, emphasizing home care exercises, stretching and hydrotherapy. He enjoys providing therapeutic deep tissue massage to help provide pain relief. He also strives to provide the best care for his client's by furthering his education through courses and seminars.
